This is just something I cooked up last wednesday whilw waiting for someone at the mall.

You know, every time I read a book, watch a movie, or watch a TV series Finale where it ends and they're all happy, I long for that.

Time stoppin when there is happiness.

Truth is, though, life's not like that. It's not gonna end in a kiss and that's it.

Like children's fairy tales, for example. After Snow White and Prince Charming hook p, what happens then?? Do they get married? break up? Maybe her cheats on her, or she gets knocked up.

They never show you the true ending to a story, all theu do is show you the happy side, happy half point, to it.

Of course, no one wants to hear this. Everyone likes to keep the illusion of their own hapy ending. Everyone wants their Prince Charming, or their Beautiful Princess to one day arrive and make all the bad stuff go away. Even I want it.

That won't happen, though, It never will. Life don't work that way.

What'll happen after Prince Charming comes? You get marries maybe, maybe he'll get sick of you before it ever comes to that and he'll dump you for your friend's Beautiful Princess.

That's being a bit pessimistic, though, isn't it?

Ok, let's say you DO get married. It won't ALWAYS be happy. At some point, ou'll disagree about something, and fight over it. Maybe over toast, or maybe over how he forgot your anniversary, or she doesn't let you party with your friend.

Sure, these are clichéd and over done situations, but if they're cliché, or a stereotye, or whatever, it's for a reason, right? It's cause there's a tendency to these things, to these situations, whether we like it or not.

Happy Endings themselves are clichés, but see, they're special in the sense that they are NOT real.

There's only one ending to everything, and it's not really that "happy" (For most people at least).

That ending's Death.

It¡'s not pretty, it's not happy. Infact, it's the complete and total opposite of your every day happy ending.

You don't like happily ever after, cause there is no ever after. It all ends.

And, you know what's worse? The people you leave behind.

Oh, yeah. No one ever thinks of other people when alking about happy endings.

For example, what if Grumpy loved Snow White, but never told her? and even if he had, he'd have gotten rejected for being too short (or, you know, cause she "loved" Prince Charming). If that happened to you, you'd be grumpy too, right? Hell, I'm surprised he didn't turn into Drunky (Boozey?), or Dopey. Well, not STUPID Dopey, the OTHER Dopey.

Anyway, back to he REAL ending.

After you die, if you died happy, well, good for you, but you leave all your loved ones behind, and they're sad cause they lost you.

The end is never pretty, never happy.

"And what are you getting at?", you might (not) be wondering.

Live, Laugh, Love, Enjoy.

The end of the road won't EVER be hapy, for ANYONE, but that doesn't mean the road itself has to be so carppy. On the contrary!

To balance out the sad, shitty fact that is death, live life to it's fullest. Enjoy yourself, have fun, be happy!

Just...remember never to take anyone else's happiness away, lest you want your's taken too.

Smile all the way to the end, and, as an authoronce titles one of her books, though in a COMPLETELY diffrent context, Die Smiling.

That's about as close to a "Happy Ending" as you're gonna get.
